Security pledge for tourists in Lumbini
Tuesday - 08th March 2011/BUTWAL: Rupandehi Chief District Officer Taranath Gautam has claimed that they have managed full security for internal and foreign tourists visiting the Lumbini Tourism Circuit (LTC) during the Nepal Tourism Year 2011.At the 11th anniversary of Rupandehi Hotel and Restaurant Entrepreneurs’ Association today, CDO Gautam laid stress on the need to develop infrastructure in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Lord Buddha, Buddha’s maternal home Devdaha and the Tilaurakot Palace, where the Buddha is believed to have spent his childhood.
Meanwhile, the association gave away this year’s ‘Tourism Journalism’ prize to THT journalist Mahendra Thapa and Amrit Giri of local Mechikali daily.
